Damian Schmidt

Damian Schmidt,

(b. 1970), became Chairman of the Board at STRATO in 2005. Previously at freenet AG, which he joined in 2000, he most recently acted as divisional head of access, where he was responsible for the key areas DSL and Dial-Up. Earlier, he managed the marketing as well as the customer service department. After successfully completing his university studies in the fields of communication, marketing and fine arts, and subsequent activities as a freelance businessman, Schmidt worked as a marketing manager at TelePassport AG, which later belonged to mobilcom AG.

Christoph Steffens

Christoph Steffens,

(b. 1966), joined STRATO´s  Executive Board as Director of Finance and Controlling in May 2007. Since 2000, Steffens held various management positions at mobilcom AG. Lately he functioned as Managing Director and head of IT at mcc GmbH, a provider of mobile phone services. From 1997 to 2000 he acted as an international M&A consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Before that, he worked in international business development for Deutsche Telekom AG, among others in the Asia-Pacific region.

René Wienholtz

René Wienholtz,

(b.1974), was appointed Executive Director for Information Technology and Innovation in May 2008. Since June 2001 he was the STRATO group’s CTO and thus responsible for the company’s Shared Webhosting Platform the largest one worldwide using Sun technology. Prior to joining STRATO, René worked for Sun Microsystems Inc. Global Sales Operations, as a member of the Sun Technical Advisory Council and as technology evangelist. René started his career at Silicon Graphics GmbH following a degree in Business Information Science.

Dr. Gerwin Zeibig

Dr. Gerwin Zeibig,

(b. 1959), studied natural sciences and information technology at the TU Berlin. He began his career in 1986 as a geochemist in a major research centre (Hahn-Meitner Institute Berlin Inc.). As of 1992, he was the Executive Director, co-founder and quality management officer for a chemical environmental laboratory and subsequently worked as an independent assessor for system and process analysis. Dr. Zeibig has been managing the quality management sector and Customer Care (CC) at STRATO since 2000 (as of December 2004 as Executive Director).
