STRATO implements semi-automated transfer for LYCOS webhosting customers

LYCOS webhosting will shut down in the first quarter of 2009. Customers looking for a new, reliable webhost are advised to switch to STRATO, who extends an exclusive welcome package to them. In a joint effort, LYCOS and STRATO have implemented and optimized numerous processes to facilitate the transfer of domains, email accounts and online-shops. In addition, STRATO’s exclusive welcome package for LYCOS customers comprises a service chat as well as a hotline free of charge. All LYCOS customers benefit from smooth transfers, no matter whether in Great Britain, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands or France.
As the transfer service for domains is semi-automated it takes LYCOS customers only a few mouse-clicks to switch. STRATO will change the DNS settings for domains and subdomains accordingly. LYCOS customers can also move their email addresses and aliases to STRATO, along with their domains. It only takes one mouse-click to transfer an email address nearly automatedly. All emails will be delivered at all times.
