This is how you can change the CNAME entry for your subdomain
STRATO offers you the option of changing the CNAME entry for the subdomains that you set up. Through this change, you can forward your subdomain to any other address and therefore make external applications accessible under your domain. This service is needed, for example, to use your domain with Microsoft Online Services or Google Apps.
Instead of mail.google.com/a/desiredname.de, you can access the offer, for example, via mail.desiredname.de as well.
You can easily change the CNAME entry via the domain administration in your password-protected customer login Please consider the possible effects of a CNAME entry for FTP, DNS, email and web server settings.
Within the domain administration, select the desired subdomain for which you would like to change the CNAME entry.
In the following window, please select the DNS settings and click on manage in the CNAME column.
Please enter the desired target address in the input field, place a check next to the info message, and save the process and apply the settings.
In order to use your domain with GoogleApps, change the CNAME entry to ghs.google.com. (with a final period after ".com.") Please also note the setup instructions provided by Google.
