Why was my SSL certificate declined?
Before being generated, SSL certificates undergo a verification process conducted by our partner Symantec. Different verification procedures are required or possible depending on the certificate type (e.g. automated verification for free STRATO SSL certificates/manual verification for STRATO SSL Single Domain and Wildcard certificates).
The following paragraph contains possible reasons for why an SSL certificate may not yet have been issued:
- Your page has not yet been published, or was not published at the time
The following paragraph contains possible reasons for why an SSL certificate may have been declined:

FREE STRATO SSL CERTIFICATES
Symantec does not provide support for the free STRATO SSL certificate. Therefore, the SSL certificates are verified automatically. STRATO has no influence on the status of an SSL certificate that has been declined by Symantec, and is unable to change the status. In this case, you have the option of booking a STRATO SSL Single Domain certificate ,in order to trigger a manual verification by Symantec.
