Can I set up my own subdomains with the STRATO packages?
Yes, it is possible to set up your own subdomains (for example subdomain.desiredname.de) in all STRATO hosting packages.
You can set up a subdomain directly in your customer login in just a few steps; you only need your customer number and your customer password for the login.
After logging in, please select the menu option Manage domains in order to enter the domain administration area of your package.
If you log in with your domain name and your package password you will already be in the desired package. Please click on the menu option Domains in the menu on the left side.
All of the domains from the package are displayed to you within the domain administration. Furthermore, additional information will also be displayed, including configured DNS features, subdomains that have already been created, or previously configured forwards.
You can create subdomains by clicking on manage for the respective domain:
In the next step, you can create a subdomain for the previously selected domain via the Create subdomain menu.

Then enter the desired name in the designated field and finally click on the Create subdomainbutton.
The setup of the subdomain is now complete. Now you can configure your own settings for the subdomain created, such as a different redirect target, via the domain administration. To do this, click on the manage link next to the subdomain.
